How do we use cookies?
Turisthotel collects, uses, and manages your personal data found on this website.
This website (as well as all pages within the website itself) uses cookies and similar technologies for several purposes, depending on the context, including:
- temporary user input cookies (session-id) and/or persistent cookies limited to a few hours – we use them to store your preferences and settings on your device and to improve your user experience. For example, saving your personal preferences in cookies allows you not to have to reset them repeatedly;
- authentication cookies, used for authentication services, during the session – we use them to verify your authenticity. This cookie allows you to move from page to page without having to log in again on each page;
- user security cookies, used to detect authentication abuse, of limited duration – we use them to process information that enables security and to detect fraud and abuse;
- multimedia content cookies, for the duration of viewing video or other multimedia content;
- load-balancing cookies, for the duration of the session – we use them to remember the information you provide us, storing the data in a cookie so we can recall that data (such as your chosen language);
- persistent cookies for user interface customization for the duration of the session (or slightly longer) – we use cookies to enable you to provide feedback on the website;
- third-party social media plug-in cookies for logged-in members of social networks – some of our websites include social media cookies, including those that allow users logged into a social network to share content via that network. This occurs on websites that allow you to log in and register via social media accounts and when you share website content on social networks (e.g., via the “Like” button). The specific impact on your privacy will vary from network to network and depends on the privacy settings you have chosen on those networks. You can find out how to manage these cookies on their websites.
In addition to the above cookies, we also use:
- social media plug-in cookies intended for tracking;
- cookies for the development and improvement of products and services (third-party advertising cookies) – we use cookies to collect data about your activity on our websites, across the internet, and to recognize your interests so we can display ads on our or other websites that may be of most interest to you. You can also opt out of receiving interest-based ads we send you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We also use cookies to record, for example, how many visitors clicked on an ad and which ads you have seen so that the same ones are not shown to you multiple times.
- functional cookies (analytical (statistical) cookies) – we use first-party and third-party cookies as well as other identifiers to collect data on usage and performance. For example: we may use them to count unique visitors to a particular website or service and to develop other statistics about the operation of our websites and products, or to learn how our products are performing in order to improve them (for example, we use cookies to collect data that helps with load distribution). This ensures that our websites can function properly.
Use of cookies by Meta and how you can manage them can be found at https://hr-hr.facebook.com/policies/cookies/.
Use of cookies by Instagram and how you can manage them can be found at https://help.instagram.com/1896641480634370?ref=ig.
Meta collects and processes your personal data when you visit this website and applications, including device data and information about your activity, without any additional action on your part. This occurs regardless of whether you have a Facebook account and whether you are logged in or not.
Turisthotel cannot fully influence the processing of personal data carried out by third parties.
Turisthotel does not use cookies for any purpose other than those described in our Privacy Policy and this Policy.
Additionally, it is important to note that some videos embedded on our pages use cookies for the anonymous collection of statistics on how you arrived and which videos you visited.
Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website, but it will provide you with a better browsing experience.
You can delete or block these cookies, but if you do, some features of this website may not function properly.

Transfer to third countries
This website uses tools and services of companies and social networks that do not operate within the European Union. We are obliged to inform you that third parties such as Google LLC may transfer your personal data to the USA, where it may become accessible to U.S. government authorities, if the data transfer is not aligned with the mechanisms for lawful and secure transfer prescribed by the General Data Protection Regulation.
We care about the protection of your data, and that is why in our operations we use various legal options for the lawful transfer of personal data, ensuring an even higher level of your protection.
On July 10, 2023, the European Commission adopted a new adequacy decision based on which personal data may be freely transferred from the European Union to companies in the USA that participate in the Data Privacy Framework.
The adequacy decision is based on Article 45 of the General Data Protection Regulation and represents a mechanism that ensures safe and lawful data transfer to third countries. U.S. companies that wish to participate in the Data Privacy Framework must undergo a self-certification process and be listed among the companies that have joined the Data Privacy Framework.
Turisthotel will rely on the adequacy decision for the transfer of personal data with service providers that successfully self-certify and join the Data Privacy Framework.
For the transfer of personal data with service providers that do not join the Data Privacy Framework, Turisthotel will use valid standard contractual clauses based on the General Data Protection Regulation.
We will additionally inform you of all measures taken, and after the compliance period has passed, we will also amend our policies.
If you are interested in how third parties change their privacy policies, please refer to the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-US.
Some of our websites also use certain Google services (Google Analytics), under which Google LLC collects certain personal data via cookies (hereinafter: Google).
Which cookies are used by Google and its affiliated companies
When we talk about Google services, the following are included:
- Google applications
- Google websites
- devices and services such as Search, YouTube, and Google Home, platforms such as the Chrome browser and the Android operating system
- products integrated into third-party applications and websites, such as ads
- embedded Google Maps.
When you are logged in and interact with certain Google services, for example, by posting a comment on a YouTube video, your name and photo will be displayed alongside your activities. Depending on your settings, Google may also display this information in ads.
Certain categories of data may be shared by Google publicly and with its partners, such as advertisers or developers. Likewise, Google allows certain partners to collect data from your browser or device for advertising and measurement purposes via their own cookies or similar technologies.
Google uses cookies for many purposes. For example, to remember your SafeSearch settings, to make the ads you see more relevant, to count visitors to a page, to help you register for certain Google services, to protect your data, or to remember your ad settings.
Below you can see a list of the types of cookies used by Google and also learn how Google and its partners use cookies in advertising.
1. Use of “Preferences” cookies
These cookies allow Google websites to remember information that changes the way the site behaves or looks, such as your preferred language or the region you are in. For example, when your region is remembered, a website can provide you with local weather forecasts or traffic news. These cookies can also help you change text size, font, and other parts of web pages that you can customize.
If the information stored in a preference cookie is lost, the website’s functionality may be reduced, but this should not prevent the website from working.
Example:
Most Google users have a preferences cookie in their browser called “NID.” The browser sends this cookie with requests to Google sites. The “NID” cookie contains a unique ID that Google uses to store your settings and other information, such as your chosen language (e.g., Croatian), how many search results you want shown per page (e.g., 10 or 20), and whether or not you want Google’s SafeSearch filter turned on.
2. Use of “Security” cookies
Google uses security cookies to authenticate users and protect user data from unauthorized parties.
Example:
Google uses the “SID” and “HSID” cookies, which contain digitally signed and encrypted records of a user’s Google Account ID and the time of the last login. The combination of these two cookies allows Google to block many types of attacks, such as attempts to steal the content of forms you fill out on web pages.
3. Use of “Processes” cookies
Process cookies help websites function and deliver services that visitors expect, such as navigating pages or accessing secure areas of the site. Without these cookies, the website cannot function properly.
Example:
Google uses a cookie called “lbcs,” which enables Google Docs to open multiple documents in a single browser. Blocking this cookie would prevent Google Docs from working properly.
4. Use of “Advertising” cookies
This category of cookies helps Google make advertising more engaging for users and more valuable for publishers and advertisers. Cookies are typically used to select ads based on their relevance to the user, to improve campaign performance reporting, and to avoid showing the same ads to a single user repeatedly.
Example:
Google uses the NID and SID cookies to customize ads on Google products, such as Google Search.
For example, Google uses these cookies to remember your most recent searches, your previous interactions with ads or advertiser search results, and your visits to advertisers’ websites. This allows personalized ads to be displayed on Google.
Google also uses one or more cookies for the ads it serves across the web. One of the main advertising cookies used on non-Google websites is called “IDE” and is stored in browsers under the domain doubleclick.net. Another similar cookie is stored under the domain google.com and is called “ANID.”
Google also uses DSID, FLC, AID, TAID, and exchange_uid. Other Google products, such as YouTube, may also use these cookies to show more relevant ads.
Sometimes advertising cookies may be set on the domain of the website you are visiting. In the case of advertising served by Google across the web, cookies named “__gads” or “__gac” may be placed on the domain of the website you are visiting.
Unlike cookies set on Google domains, Google cannot read these cookies when you are on websites where they are not set.
Their purpose is to measure interactions with ads on that domain and to prevent the same ads from being shown excessively to users.
Google also uses conversion cookies, whose main purpose is to help advertisers determine how many times people who click their ads actually go on to purchase their products.
5. Use of “Session State” cookies
Websites often collect information about how users interact with the site. This may include data on which pages users visit most frequently and whether they receive error messages from certain pages. These “session state cookies” help Google improve its services in order to provide users with a better browsing experience.
Blocking or deleting these cookies will not make the website unusable.
These cookies can also be used to anonymously measure the effectiveness of PPC (pay-per-click) and affiliate advertising.
Example:
A cookie called “recently_watched_video_id_list” is used by YouTube to record which videos a particular browser has recently watched.
6. Use of “Analytics” cookies
Google Analytics is Google’s analytics tool that helps website and app owners understand how their visitors interact with their sites and apps. It can use a set of cookies to collect information and report website usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors to Google. The main cookie used by Google Analytics is “_ga.”
In addition to reporting website usage statistics, Google Analytics can also be used, together with some of the advertising cookies described above, to show more relevant ads on Google products (e.g., in Google Search) and across the web, as well as to measure interactions with the ads we display.
